You have come to the right place! COA offers several avenues to become a qualified coach, including resources such as Coach/Advisor Handbooks. COA also endorses the National Council for Spirit Safety and Education (NCSSE). NCSSE offers several courses for new and experienced coaches.

How do I register for a COA camp?
Registration is easy! Just print, complete and fax in your Registration Form and deposit. If you have any questions call the office and talk to a customer service representative at 1.800.252.4337. This is linking to the 2008 Camp Registration Form instead of 2009.

What is Dream Team and how do I qualify?
Teams have an opportunity to perform in front of tens of thousands of people at Bowl Games and Holiday Parades across the country with the COA Dream Team! Click HERE for more information.

What is an All-American and how do I qualify?
All American Awards are presented to outstanding cheerleaders and dancers displaying the following characteristics: Strong jumps, Outstanding Tumbling, Leadership, Cooperation, Strong Leaps, Turns, Strong Dance Ability, Strong Stunting Skills (if applicable). Athletes named as All American will qualify for Dream Team an have an opportunity to compete individually at the COA ULTIMATE National Championship in Orlando, Florida.

Can My Team win money at a COA Camp?
Yes! All COA Resident Cheer Camps award a CheerLeadership Scholarship to the team that wins the CheerLeadership Award. The CheerLeadership Award is presented to the team nominated by their peers for exhibiting leadership, friendliness, and inspiration. Along with a trophy, the CheerLeadership Champion wins $250 “COA Camp Cash.” Teams can also win be awarded the Top Team Award at Resident Cheer Camps, It is presented to a Team displaying: Outstanding Leadership, Positive Attitudes, Cooperation, and Strong Skills. The Top Team receives “$500 COA Championship Cash” which can be used at any of COA’s Championships.

Does COA offer Worlds Bids?
Yes! COA is awarding 2 Full Paid Bids to the Cheerleading Worlds and 6 At Large Bids and 1 Partial paid bid and 2 At Large Bids to the Dance Worlds at the COA Midwest Championship in Columbus, Ohio! Click HERE for more information.

How do I register for a COA Championship?

Can participants use glitter at COA events?
Indoor use of spray glitter and other aerosol sprays (including hairspray) are strictly prohibited. If you choose to use these products, they must be used outdoors.

Does COA offer a Parent’s Division?
No, COA does not offer an exclusive Parents Division, but encourage them to enter the Exhibition Division. Participants will receive a participation award, will not be scored/ranked, and must pay the same registration fees.

Are video cameras and photography allowed at COA events?
Cameras are permitted at COA Championships. Mr. Video is the official videographer of COA. You may order your videos onsite at the Mr. Video booth located near Spirit Ready Sportswear area. Video taping is not permitted when Mr. Video Productions is present at the event. Listed below are the events Mr. Video Productions has confirmed for the 2009-2010 Championship season:
