In 2004 COA Cheer & Dance launched a philanthropic campaign called CHEERforLIFE.  The idea behind the campaign was to raise money to benefit a designated charity each year.  Since it’s inception, CHEERforLIFE has raised over $22,000!

The project was launched in response to a life changing auto accident that left Mike Stewart, a former Ohio State cheerleader and COA Family Member, paralyzed. COA took action and began selling CHEERforLIFE bracelets to help him afford his hospital and educational expenses.

In 2005, longtime COA staff member and current Senior Relationship Manager, Torre Clauss, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and CHEERforLIFE responded by selling dog tags. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the dog tag sales were donated directly to The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and The Torre Clauss Fund.s

Because of COA’s strong belief in the efforts of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, we have decided to dedicate this year’s CHEERforLIFE campaign to the organization. Known as The House That Love Built®, the Ronald McDonald House program has been helping seriously ill children and their families for decades. Each Ronald McDonald House provides a safe, welcoming and warm home away from home for children receiving medical treatment at a nearby medical facility. Purchase your CHEERforLIFE / DANCEforLIFE keychain ($1) and join COA’s crusade to raise funds to directly improve the health and well-being of children across the United States. 100% of the proceeds from keychain sales will be donated directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
